Assume Only Love -
A Poem by Douglas Lee-Regier, a Heart Centered Therapy student.
When you fear their love may fail,
Look into their eyes.
Look deeper into the eyes.
Look deeper where God resides.
What do these eyes say?
Can you find their love?
Can you find their compassion?
This is a universal promise: God will continue to love God.
The deep eyes don’t lie; they are not jealous –not puffed up.
But every day our eyes get glazed –we put on sun glasses –our eyes fail.
Sometimes we have to stare into the darkness to see the light.
Cry real tears to feel close.
We have to walk down the steps of the abyss before coming back up the steps of the heart.
Deep in the heart are the eyes of God.
The eyes say, “I love you.”
